Summary:


Serves as an influential and strategic leader across the nursing enterprise. Facilitates a governance process that coordinates the review of the division's requests and needs while ensuring alignment with the nursing strategic plan. Accountable for advancing nursing leadership, professional development, high-quality patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, nursing integration, patient/family experience, and outcomes. Leads initiatives to strengthen nursing quality, patient safety, and the care experience while advancing clinical inquiry and evidence-based innovation. Ensures the provision of high-quality, culturally sensitive nursing/patient care in accordance with evidence-based practice, current research, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics. Forms partnerships within nursing and with other disciplines to drive excellence in nursing quality, patient safety, and patient experience. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

Graduate of an approved program of nursing and currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in a health-related field.

Minimum of seven years progressively responsible nursing with demonstrated expertise in nursing quality, patient safety, patient experience, or evidence-based practice leadership.

Proven leadership, clinical competence and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional self development.

Magnet recognized certification in clinical specialty or in nursing administration (e.g., CNML or NE/NEA-BC).

Reliable transportation to travel to ambulatory sites.

Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
