Summary:
Seeks to identify and assess inmates with OUD, recommends and secures, as warranted, an alternative-to-incarceration program at pre-trial, and connects the inmate to ongoing care following release. Coordinates level of care (LOC) assessment on inmates with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). The LOC assessment will adhere to the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) guidelines and recommend an appropriate level of addiction treatment for inmates upon their release from incarceration and will be available to judges pre-trial to utilize at sentencing. Coordinates individual and group therapy at the Motivation and Engagement Clinic. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System
Qualifications:
Required: Master's degree in social work or Community Mental Health Counseling from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Possess one of the following: • Current licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of Ohio • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Ohio • Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Ohio. • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio. • Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) in the state of Ohio. Skilled in the provision of social work services to adolescent through adult patient populations. Preferred: 1 year of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders. Experience in working with multi-disciplinary groups. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment is required. May need to lift to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
