Summary:
Assists with and provides infant through adult patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager or assigned RN-Clinical Nurse. Performs only those skills listed in the Record of Activity of Orientation (RAO). Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Responsibilities
1.Provides general patient care support in a caring, tactful, and courteous manner under all circumstances under the direction of the Nurse Manager or assigned RN-Clinical Nurse. Duties.
2.Perform and gain nursing skills under direct supervision and with the assistance of the assigned RN.
3.Performs duties related to indirect patient care
4.Document findings in the electronic medical record.
5.Collaborates with other members of the health care team
Other Information Required:
Enrolled in an accredited nursing program (or a program seeking accreditation), completed fundamentals of nursing, and is currently registered in clinical. Continuous enrollment in a nursing program or a graduate of a nursing program and board eligible. BLS Certification from the AHA for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. Eligibility to continue in the position lasts for a maximum of 6 months after graduation from nursing school. Ability to interact effectively with various cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
