Join our Nurse Intern Float Pool!
As a Nurse Intern in our inpatient Float Pool, you will have the option to select one of the three groups below to work on. This wonderful opportunity will allow the Nurse Intern to gain hands-on experience across a variety of patient populations, hone skills, and build confidence in their nursing practice.
Float Pool Group Options (Limited capacity for all):
• Oncology, Adult Telemetry, Trauma Step Down
• Inpatient Post Surgical, Ortho/Medical, General Medicine
• Inpatient Neuro/Stroke, Adult Telemetry, Critical Care Step Down
Primary skills utilized/learned:
• Adaptive ADLs; Patient Safety/Reorientation Methods
• Vital signs, IVs, Foley Catheter insertion/removal, Wound care, etc.
Personnel Nurse Intern will work with:
• RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, Dieticians

Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
- Completed fundamentals of nursing
- Currently registered in clinical rotations
- Continuous enrollment in a nursing program
- Eligibility to continue in the position is a maximum of 6 months upon graduating from nursing school
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
