Summary:
Develops, implements, and executes short and long-term strategic, business, and operational plans that support the Correctional Health Program and the mission and vision of The MetroHealth System. Serves as health services administrator that leads Correctional Health operations, providing effective operational, human resource, and financial management. Ensures quality, cost-effective, and efficient workflows and processes, resulting in a positive patient experience. Accountable for implementation, sustainment, and financial viability of current and new initiatives that impact the growth and development of related departments, functions and/or programs. Serves with the Medical Director to oversee services, personnel, and contract personnel associated with the delivery of health care to the inmate population. Ensures compliance with National Commission for Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and State of Ohio standards. Works collaboratively with clinical and support staff on identifying opportunities for new or revised programs to ensure access, performance improvement, as well as development of an effective, high quality, skilled and motivated workforce. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of the MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Meets one of the following:
• Master's Degree in business, health, or public administration and 7 years management experience encompassing program planning and analysis, financial, and operational management in healthcare or healthcare consulting environment.
• Bachelor's Degree and 10 years progressively responsible management experience which encompasses program planning and analysis, financial, and operational management in healthcare or healthcare consulting environment.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated for a Bachelor's Degree.
Excellent interpersonal skills along with experience in working with multi-disciplinary groups.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional self-development.
Excellent critical thinking and analytical aptitude.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
Experience in Correctional Health Care.
National Commission on Correctional Health Care Certification.
Lean/Six Sigma Certification.
Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to use computer. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job-related documents.
