Summary:
Performs quality recordings of ultrasound images of the heart in order to assess cardiovascular and hemodynamic functions in children through adult patients. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: Graduate of an approved school of ultrasound/cardiovascular techniques Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RMCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or obtains registry within 1 year of hire. BLS Certification. Must have knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Reliable transportation to travel to satellite clinics. Preferred: Previous experience in imaging stress testsPhysical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance. Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products. Physical Demands:
