Director HR Business Partner Services (HRBP)

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: M-F 8:00 - 5:00

Summary:


As a member of the Human Resources leadership team, oversees HR business support for all functions and departments of The MetroHealth System (MHS). Partnering with MHS Senior Leaders, the Director provides HR consulting and problem-solving solutions. Works closely with and brokers the services of the HR Centers of Excellence to deliver quality business solutions. Advises and coaches management on methodologies to drive workforce performance, via talent management, employee engagement, succession planning, organizational effectiveness and change management. Ensures optimal operating efficiency and fiscal effectiveness of the assigned function. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master's Degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) and five years progressively responsible and relevant experience.
  • In lieu of Master's Degree, must have 8 years of progressively responsible and relevant experience.
  • Previous experience leading, coaching and evaluating staff.
  • Experience working with senior level management.
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize business data and develop innovative and holistic HR solutions that are forward thinking and growth oriented. Decisive and focused, understands what needs to be done and moves quickly to that end.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff.
  • Strong business partnering/consulting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Applicant Tracking or HRIS Systems; ability to convey technical information to layperson audiences.
  • Demonstrated strategic vision, critical thinking, staff development, and executive presence.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.


Preferred: Experience working in a Human Resource functional area for a large, complex organization. Certified HR Professional through SHRM (CP/SCP) or HRCI (PHR/SPHR) Familiar with Joint Commission, ODH, CARF, and other health care related standards. Familiarity with a hospital setting. Experience working with outside executive search firms and other vendors who support executive search. Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
