Director Learning & Performance - Talent Management

Shift: M-F 8:00 - 5:00

Summary:


Oversees and advances the ongoing development and implementation of comprehensive learning and performance strategies that enable The MetroHealth System (MHS) to effectively leverage its talent for future growth while reinforcing MHS's mission, vision and values. Directs and ensures alignment between broad talent management and organizational objectives and the creation of tools, resources, and education to enable successful execution of a learning and development strategy, including e-learning and classroom courses, workshops, and other trainings. Leads the development and continuous improvement of the system-wide performance management processes that supports the departmental and system-wide goals and objectives and integrates performance management into all phases of leadership development. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources or related degree, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management System administration.
  • Five years of experience in instructional design and the development of learning or performance programs.
  • Strong HR experience in the areas of Talent Management, Learning and Development, or Organizational Development.
  • Significant experience in managing and influencing employees and leaders to achieve success.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of employment and present to groups.
  • Excellent influencing skills with ability to work collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently with internal and external customers, partners, and other stakeholders to build trust.
  • Demonstrated problem solving acumen to assess/analyze a current state and recommend/implement improvements or alternative practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with various PC applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.


Preferred: Master's Degree in Education, Organization Development, Human Resources or related field. Healthcare experience with a major hospital system. Prior management experience. Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
