Summary:
Assist employees and their families in resolving professional and personal issues. Rapidly assess an employee's needs and develops an appropriate treatment plan. Performs assessments, short term counseling, motivational interviewing, clinical triage, and/or referral to appropriate treatment and community resources. Demonstrates competency in the various EAP roles of job performance coach, clinical counselor, and group facilitator. Conducts employee educational sessions. Serves as a credible and knowledgeable consultant to management for employee issues. Responds to organizational needs in a complex, rapidly changing, and performance-driven environment. Fosters partnerships across The Metro Health System (MHS) to deliver value-added services to other departments and in support of the business objectives of the organization. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The Metro Health System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's Degree in the Mental Health Field
Independent Licensure as a Mental Health Professional (LISW or LPCC).
Five years of experience with mental health and/or chemical dependency treatment, or an Employee Assistance Program.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Ability to comfortably interact with employees, managers, directors and leadership at all levels of the organization.
Ability to professionally represent MetroHealth to organizations within the community.
Preferred:
Ten years of relevant experience.
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S)
Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S)
Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC)
Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP)
Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment, including typing. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
