Summary:


Provides the oversight and direction of risk management activities and special projects. Assists with the formulation of a project's scope, objectives, and costs. Prepares work plans and schedules, including requirements, tasks, work assignments, resources, and the inclusion of project milestones and review points. Coordinates the activities of Ethics, Risk and Compliance (ERC) staff and third-party vendors contracted to support various ERC projects. Performs and improves project management functions, program coordination, and project reporting for the ERC Department. Works in conjunction with the ERC leadership team, including routine and ad hoc support to the Board of Trustees. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, HealthCare Management, or related field or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below. 6-8 years of related work experience to include some supervisory experience. Experience conducting sensitive and/or confidential reviews/ investigations. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to communicate effectively with personnel from various disciplines. Preferred Master's Degree (Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, etc.) or Juris Doctorate. Certification in Risk Management. Certification in Patient Safety (CPSO, CHSP). 1 or more years of experience as a Healthcare risk manager within a hospital setting or in the insurance industry. Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
