Summary:
Serves as a senior level team member assigned to operational process analysis, redesign and execution consultation, working on a wide range of current and emerging initiatives, projects and activities that are designed to strengthen and grow The MetroHealth System (MHS) in a patient-centric manner. Provides leadership consultation in the development of strategy and execution of tactics resulting in the development of a clinical transformation model that is operationalized across care sites and populations. Undertaking complex projects and activities, researching, initiating and successfully managing internal initiatives and organizational change strategies to improve and grow MHS. Maintains oversight for resource utilization specific to spending on total cost of care while facilitating teams to review and redesign processes and procedures which improve efficiency and productivity across the enterprise and continuum of care. Participates in institutional planning, policy development, and problem resolution. Works seamlessly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, using team building, collaborative and inclusive methods in the pursuit of internal process enhancements, service improvements, and external community outreach activities. May be required to execute unique and emerging special project assignments that require critical thinking, analytical skills, and report writing expertise, within a short window of opportunity. Qualifications:
Required: Master's Degree in a related field or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below. Seven years of experience in systemic problem solving, influencing and creating change in complex organizations, process improvement, and managing large cross-functional initiatives. Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to plan, organize, coordinate and direct multiple projects and activities with varied deadlines Analytical ability and experience with strategic planning processes. Must be a strategic thinker and effective in moving strategic agendas, be politically savvy, and ensure the utmost discretion and confidentiality in all matters. Team building skills with the ability to work well with all levels of personnel. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse internal and external constituents. Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial planning methodologies. Ability to deal effectively with ambiguous situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Project, and Visio as well as project management tools. Preferred: Advanced Degree in a business-related field or relevant discipline. Certification: ANCC Nursing Informatics Certification (NI-BC) or HIMSS CAHIMS or CPHIMS. Prior nursing or clinical informatics experience. Leadership experience in a teaching and/or public hospital. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Demonstrated knowledge and application of Lean/Six Sigma principles and methodology. Diversity of experience with focus on logistics, production, change management, clinical operations, information systems or IT applications, or process/service human-centered design. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to use computer. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job-related documents. Ability to travel.
