Surgical Pathologist

CLEVELAND, OHIO (USA). The Department of Pathology at The MetroHealth System, a teaching affiliate of Case Western University School of Medicine, is recruiting a full-time Anatomic Pathologist with fellowship training or at least five years’ experience in Cytopathology.  Candidates with additional qualifications in a surgical pathology subspecialty will be given priority consideration. This position comes with a faculty appointment at Case Western Reserve University, at a rank commensurate with experience. Compensation is competitive with an excellent benefits package.

The pathology department of the MetroHealth System provides a full range of services to residents of Cuyahoga and neighboring counties. Participation in resident and medical student teaching and contribution to clinical or translational research are expected.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree with American Board of Pathology certification or eligibility in AP/CP or AP, as well as be board certified or board eligible for the cytopathology boards. They should be qualified for an unrestricted medical license in Ohio.

The MetroHealth System is a fully integrated provider of high-quality healthcare, consisting of four hospitals, four emergency departments, and 60 additional medical care sites throughout Cuyahoga County. The pathology department is housed in a new and innovative campus that continues to grow, with the addition of a fully accredited cancer institute expected soon.
