Summary:
Coordinates the Podiatry clinic. The primary functions include Podiatry assisting, clinic scheduling, operation room scheduling, billing concerns, and in-service training. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
Trained as a Medical Assistant. 1-2 years experience as a Podiatry Assistant or 3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
Certification as Podiatry Assistant or obtains within 1 year of hire.
BLS Certification from the AHA or obtains within 90 days of hire.
Maintains BLS certification.
Familiar with data entry and clinic equipment.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to make decisions
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Reliable transportation to travel to clinics.
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
3 - 5 years experience as a Podiatry Assistant.
