Summary:


Develops and manages The MetroHealth Research Institute's (MHRI) Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), fiscal, administrative, and human resources activities. Oversees fiscal and administrative aspects of all clinical trials conducted at The MetroHealth System (MHS). In partnership with the MHRI CTU Medical Director manages and implements MHRI or Department-initiated clinical trials, including assistance with study design, project planning, budget management, contracting, study execution, and data monitoring and analysis. Oversees strategic business and program planning related to clinical trials. Puts in place the appropriate training and processes to ensure that the culture of the clinical trials in the MHRI is to conduct research activities in accordance with health authority requirements and Good Clinical Practice. Monitors the financial status of trials. Ensures the administration of quality care for research participants. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Administration, or Nursing, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below. 10 years of Clinical Trials Management experience. Ability to plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate a variety of activities/projects. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Demonstrated leadership, communication, mentoring, customer service, and experience in working with multi-disciplinary groups. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Extensive knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, manpower planning, supervision, and operational analysis. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Graduated of an accredited school of professional nursing. Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio. Experience with clinical trial management systems. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
