Shift: Mon-Fri 8 hour days

Summary:


Supports the Dentist(s) in the delivery of high value dental care to children through adult patient populations. Assists in providing a system which will deliver services efficiently, effectively, and safely with care and compassion. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam Meets one of the following: • Graduate of a Dental Assisting program • 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant. • Graduate of a foreign accredited dental or hygiene school Possess a current Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer license or obtains within 90 days of hire. Possess a current BLS certificate through the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire. Willing to work according to the job assigned and over-time requirements as needed (i.e. days, evenings, weekends, and in home care service/outpatient dental clinics in the MetroHealth System). Access to reliable transportation to travel to all satellite locations or home care facilities as needed. Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals
