Summary:
Oversees the daily operations of the Language Access Services (LAS) and Guest Ambassador departments across the organization, including coordinating interpretation and translation services, program development, data analysis, report distribution, and monitoring service utilization. Manages Patient Education, Patient Engagement, and Guest Ambassador activities. Manages budgetary and personnel resources. Develops, implements, and promotes workflow programs that drive high levels of patient satisfaction throughout the patient journey. Plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates workflow and process improvement projects. Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory requirements. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: Meets one of the following: • Bachelor's Degree in Business or another related field, and 1 year of experience working in healthcare. • 5 years of experience working in healthcare. Ability to coordinate programs and maintain budgets. Strong business acumen and analytical skills to perform cost analyses, efficiency analyses, and productivity calculations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including editing and proofreading skills. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Strong customer service orientation. Strong project management skills. Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work quickly and efficiently, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment and under deadline pressure. Ability to work independently and with an interdisciplinary team. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Master's Degree in Business or another related field. Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Fluency in writing, speaking, and interpreting both English and another language. Experience with project coordination. Experience with patient experience initiatives. Experience with program development. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
