The MetroHealth Medical System is an integrated health system with an acute care hospital housing a Level I Adult Trauma and Burn Center, a skilled nursing facility and more than 25 locations throughout northeastern Ohio, as well as a new 110-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. It is an outstanding public, safety-net academic medical system affiliated with Case Western Reserve University and provides medical, pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, and vision services to diverse underserved communities in Cuyahoga County/Cleveland Ohio and surrounding areas. There is a strong tradition of interprofessional, integrated care service delivery models, an APA-accredited doctoral clinical psychology internship, and a robust post-doctoral fellowship program. Psychologists at MetroHealth are full members of the medical staff and have faculty appointments at Case Western Reserve University.

We are seeking a Psychologist with expertise and experience in pediatric integrated primary care to work on interprofessional teams to deliver high quality services for the patients we serve within the MetroHealth System.

The Psychologist will lead integration efforts into pediatric primary care clinics, and lead teams of psychology trainees, working collaboratively with medical providers, nursing, social work, and child life to deliver behavioral health services.

Successful candidates will partner with colleagues in Pediatric Psychologyto advance the quality and expand interprofessional clinical and academic programs. They will participate as faculty in our APA-Accredited psychology internship and postdoctoral fellowship program, and in trainee supervision. Psychologists will be joining a growing Interdepartmental Psychology Section comprised of more than 25 psychologists and 12+ doctoral trainees.


Ø Establish and/or continue to provide integrated pediatric behavioral health services in pediatric primary care clinics.

Ø Participate in the design and evaluation of outcomes of patients served.

Ø Collaborate on education and program development initiatives to advance behavioral health services, including clinical supervision of psychology residents.

Ø Join the Psychology Training Committee and supervise trainees on the pediatric psychology rotations. Participate in didactic seminars and supervise clinical staff, psychology post-doctoral fellows, interns and graduate trainees.

Ø Participate in interprofessional education of psychiatry, medical, nursing, social work, and counseling trainees as needed.

Ø Doctorate in psychology from an APA-accredited college or university program with an emphasis in clinical/counseling OR child & adolescent clinical psychology

Ø Doctoral internship in clinical/counseling/health psychology in an APA-accredited program

Ø Completion of a psychology post-doctoral fellowship or at least 3 years' experience in an acute adolescent behavioral health care setting

Ø Current, valid, unrestricted licensure to practice as a Psychologist in Ohio by start date

Ø Eligibility for ABPP Board certification

Ø Background and experience in training, program development and collaborative research

Ø Training and experience in the following

o Acute adolescent inpatient settings

o Program development

Ø Experience Acute substance abuse treatment (adolescent or adult) desirable, but not required.

Ø Experience with diverse patient populations. Bilingual in Spanish is desirable, but not required.
