Physician-Endocrinology

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism has a dynamic opportunity for a full time Board Certified/Board Eligible Endocrinologist to help met the needs of an expanding outpatient and hospital-based inpatient multidisciplinary network using a premier EMR/EPIC. The primary responsibilities are providing patient care in general endocrinology and/or specialized clinics (e.g. Thyroid Clinic, Insulin Pump & CGM Clinic, Adrenal & Pituitary Clinic, Bone Metabolism Clinic) and inpatient consultation.

In addition to patient care, the selected candidate will participate in the teaching and training of internal medicine residents and endocrinology fellows and will have research opportunities in clinical trials. The successful candidate will have an academic appointment to the medical faculty of the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine commensurate with experience and achievement.

This position will have clinical responsibilities including:

• Provide patient care at MetroHealth approved locations

• Engagement in active collaborative research.

• Opportunities for teaching/leadership positions at the Endocrinology Fellowship program, Internal Medicine Residency program, Clinical Administration

• Opportunities for administrative leadership for quality improvement in both the inpatient and outpatient setting

Requirements

Qualifications:

• MD/ DO and eligible for Ohio Medical License

• Completed Endocrinology fellowship training and be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.

• Professionalism and strong interpersonal and communication skills are expected.
