Psychiatrist Consult ED

The Department of Psychiatry at The MetroHealth System, a major teaching hospital of Case Western Reserve University, is seeking a board-certified (or board eligible) psychiatrist for Consult/ED/Inpatient, who will provide clinical care for adult patients, teaching of residents and students and have the opportunity for academic and career development at the largest medical research institution in Ohio and a top 1% ranked hospital.

Because of the strong commitment to the needs of the community, the MetroHealth System has built a new 112-bed behavioral health hospital in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, with specialized units including: adolescent, geropsychiatry, adult psychiatric intensive care, adult dual diagnosis, adult thought disorders and adult mood disorders. Partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment programs will be attached to this hospital as well. We are opening a Psychiatric Emergency Department collocated with our Hospital in Cleveland Heights June 2024 and will open a second Psychiatric ED Summer 2025. This position is primarily to manage patients in these EDs with some time spent in outpatient and inpatient practice.
