Shift: Monday Thru Friday 8a-530p rotating

Provides leadership in the Pharmacy Service Center while supervising assigned team members. Ensures that calls are responded to in a timely manner with accuracy for all retail locations, including enrollment, registration, appointment scheduling, processing of refill renewal requests, and prescription processing. Ensures that assigned staff are meeting all service expectations. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.


Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions, per Ohio Revised Code 4729.42. Current/active Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) as required by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. Registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. 2 years of experience in a call center environment. Demonstrated PC proficiency. Experience working with healthcare professionals and clients. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong customer service skills. Effective organizational and time management skills. Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate across a variety of disciplines. Ability to work independently and within a structured environment with a high degree of flexibility. Access to reliable transportation to travel to locations throughout The MetroHealth System and Cuyahoga County based on operational needs. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Experience mentoring, training, or coaching staff and/or peers. Experience as a pharmacy call center agent, or a similar healthcare call center position. Experience working with the EPIC electronic medical record application. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
