Summary:


Manages the IS Program Management Office (PMO) functions and staff. Handles large complex cross-functional projects through all phases of the project lifecycle which represent the business, strategy and IT priorities of The MetroHealth System (MHS). Projects may be IT-driven, business or strategy focused with a significant IT component. Applies Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) principles, processes and tools. Primary business partner to key organizational stakeholders and sponsors. Oversees and participates in portfolio management activities, project request intake, governance, resource risk and change. Provides mentoring services to other project IS teams and team members. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standard of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's Degree or degree, any equivalent combination of education of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Ability to apply tools and techniques of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodologies. Eight years project management experience involving IT, business and strategy projects in large, complex organizations. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent presentation, leadership and facilitation skills. Critical thinking and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and process mapping software. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Program management experience in a major health system organization Experience with a large public or academic healthcare system Training and/or certification in Lean or Six Sigma Master's Degree Physical Demands: Will need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending and ambulating Will need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email and other communications Ability to read job related documents Dexterity to use computer
