The MetroHealth System's Department of Geriatrics is seeking a dedicated and experienced Geriatric Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our innovative Red Carpet Program. This role primarily involves providing in-home care, so prior experience in a home-based setting or a strong passion for community-based care is highly preferred.
While the position will focus on in-home visits, there may also be opportunities to provide clinic-based care for our senior Red Carpet patients, as well as for younger Medicaid patients enrolled in the program. Flexibility to work with a diverse patient population, including younger individuals, is essential.
Position Highlights:
• Predominantly in-home care delivery
• Possible clinic-based responsibilities
• Willingness to work with both geriatric and Medicaid patient populations
• Occasional weekend shifts may be required
• Emphasis on high-quality clinical care and process improvement
• Call component

Position Requirements & Benefits
Required:
• MSN or grandfathered under Ohio Revised Code Graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered nurse program
• Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio Certificate of Authority as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire Meets the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges in the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System and must report to Medical Staff Office at time of hire to apply for clinical privileges Maintains a standard care arrangement and renews/signs it as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing
• Note: Other department specific qualifications for providers will be addressed through the Certificate of Authority and credentialing process.
Preferred:
• Have or be able to apply for a Certificate to Prescribe/Externship from the Ohio Board of Nursing
• 2 years Nurse Practitioner experience
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, geriatrics, ICU, or ER
• Bilingual (Spanish)
