Nurse Practitioner - Department of Dermatology

Physician Assistant - Department of Dermatology

MetroHealth, a nationally recognized academic health system and one of Northeast Ohio's premier public healthcare providers, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated dermatology nurse practitioner to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in wound care, assisting with excisions, and familiarity with various dermatological conditions. MetroHealth provides exceptional patient care and fostering a positive and supportive environment for our staff.

As a valued member of our dermatology team, you will work alongside leading dermatologists and specialists to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in both general and specialty dermatology services.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive dermatological assessments and evaluations

• Diagnose and manage a variety of skin conditions

• Perform minor dermatologic procedures

• Collaborate with dermatologists, residents, and medical staff on care plans

• Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive skincare

Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner:

Registered Nurse (RN) License

Must hold an active and unencumbered RN license in the state where you practice.

Nurse Practitioner License / APRN Certification

Must be a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in your state.

Must have completed a Master's or Doctoral degree in a nurse practitioner program.

National Board Certification as an NP

One of the following, depending on your population focus:

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - through AANP or ANCC

Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) - through ANCC or AANP

Qualifications for Physician Assistant:

State license to practice as a PA- Physician Assistant

Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA)

Graduate of an accredited PA program

Work Environment:

The APP will work across multiple sites, including The MetroHealth System's primary facility in Cleveland and partnering Level 3 trauma centers. This role requires adaptability, flexibility in scheduling, and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality care across diverse settings. Rotating holiday and weekend coverage is required.
