Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Summary:
Provides coordination of all clinical documentation with accurate completion of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument (IRFPAI) for each rehabilitation inpatient. In collaboration with the clinical team, provides clinical support in completion of data contained in the IRFPAI to ensure accuracy in the scoring of functional status and reflection of the patient's care needs. In addition, will assist in the ongoing monitoring of identified benchmarks for the inpatient rehabilitation population, including performance related to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Perspective Payment System. Conducts ongoing reviews of CMS data submitted and medical records to ensure that the data is congruent and ensures optimum compliance of standards in accordance with applicable federal and state regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
Required: Meets one of the following: • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio. • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or post-graduate certificate in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Possesses and maintains National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Certification (NBCOT) and holds an Occupational Therapist licensure in the State of Ohio • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology and a valid State of Ohio Speech-Language Pathology Licensure. Certified as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or post-graduate certificate in Physical Therapy from a school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and holds a Physical Therapist licensure in the State of Ohio 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting or a closely related field. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency with computers, software, and office equipment Ability to travel to satellite locations Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Experience with the Inpatient Patient Rehabilitation Facility Perspective Payment System PPS Coordinator Certification Experience in ICD-10 coding Experience in Utilization Review Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents.
