Shift: M-F 8 hours/ day

Summary:


Acts as a visionary leader fostering a patient-centered research culture across the Nursing Enterprise. Empowers nurses to initiate research from the bedside or in response to population health needs, improving outcomes and addressing emerging challenges. Collaborates across The MetroHealth System to aligns research initiatives with system goals, promote nursing excellence, and lead the Interdisciplinary Nursing Research Council. Through mentorship and interdisciplinary collaboration, drives innovative, impactful projects while ensuring ethical standards. Serves as a liaison to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Office of Compliance, secures funding opportunities and disseminates findings to advance community health and well-being. Supports research that transforms care and enhances population outcomes. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer services standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

Research doctorate degree (PhD) in Nursing or other related health field (Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher nursing degree if PhD is not in nursing).

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

Current certification in conducting Human Subject Research or obtains within 3 months of hire.

5 years of experience in clinical nursing as a RN.

Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred:

3 years of experience in clinical and/or nursing research.

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
