Registered Nurse- NICU

Location: MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick

Bi-weekly Hours: 64.00

Shift: 7p-7a; rotating weekends, rotating holidays

All Acute Care units offer enhanced technology to assist with nursing care, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring capability.

Join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, NICU!

Primary Patient Population:

  • Neonate (Premature infants to full-term)
  • Level 3 NICU
  • Level 2 Step Down


Primary skills utilized/learned:

  • Ventilators/Nasal Cannula/CPAP/Vapotherm/NIMV
  • Central line care
  • Tube feeds
  • Weight-based medication dosing
  • Time management, critical thinking, delegating


Personnel RN will work with:

  • Nurse Interns, NPs, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management


Number of beds on unit:

  • 47 beds

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
  • Current NRP certification or obtained within 6 months of hire


Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN
  • Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
