Summary:
Performs polysomnographic procedures and research-related activities to support investigational sleep studies. Collects, organizes, and analyzes both physiological and behavioral data under the direction of the Principal Investigator. Conducts research study visits, administers surveys, and ensures accurate documentation of study protocols. Contributes to dissemination of program activities through approved communication channels. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds one of the following: • Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) credential. • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential. • Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential. Current CREC certification for human subject research or obtains within 30 days of hire. Meets continuing education requirements as established by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 90 days of hire. Reliable transportation to travel to any assigned MetroHealth Sleep Center. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Word and Excel. Previous experience working with a personal computer, and able to work with and/or quickly learn various software or web content management packages. Preferred: Previous experience working with database management. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
