Primary Patient Population:
- Inpatient Medicine
- Spinal surgery recovery
- Trauma overflow
Primary skills utilized/learned:
- Traction, various drains, wound care
- In cooperation and conjunction with the nurse manager, plans, coordinates, and evaluates all unit activities impacting patient care delivery.
- Holds self and staff accountable for identification, evaluation, documentation, and appropriate intervention of patients' needs to ensure quality.
- Ensures the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
- Time management, critical thinking, delegating
Personnel RN will work with:
- RN's, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT
Number of beds on unit:
- 34 beds (14 private rooms, 20 semi-private rooms)

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
- 3 years of clinical experience including experience as a preceptor, charge nurse, or committee leader.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
- Nursing certification in specialty area or in nursing management/leadership (e.g., CNML, NE-BC). Current AHA certification(s) relevant to clinical practice area (as outlined in the RN Clinical Nurse job description).
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
