We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Hematology/Oncology team. This role delivers high-quality, patient-centered care across outpatient oncology, hematology, and supportive services within a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior oncology or hematology experience
- Chemotherapy management
- Sickle cell disease management
- Bone marrow biopsy procedures
- Cell therapy or Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience

Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Current licensure in the State of Ohio (RN + APRN Certificate of Authority for NPs; PA license for Physician Assistants)
- National board certification in specialty area (APRN or NCCPA as applicable)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
- Obtain advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire
- Eligible for and obtains clinical privileges within the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System; must report to the Medical Staff Office at time of hire to initiate credentialing
- Maintains required collaborative/supervisory agreements in accordance with Ohio law
- For NPs: Maintains a Standard Care Arrangement as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing
Physical Demands:
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods
- May require lifting and carrying items up to 30 pounds
- Requires manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures (e.g., bone marrow biopsies, central line management)
- Requires visual and auditory acuity necessary to assess patient condition and operate clinical equipment
- May be exposed to infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and chemotherapy agents
- Requires ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
